Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had a guardian angel? A Cinderella-sort-of fairy godmother who could make wishes come true?
It seems that nothing is too far from reality in today’s times.
I was introduced today to a new social networking application called Impossible.com. Backed by Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, and model Lily Cole it is being presented as an altruism-based social network that work towards making people’s dreams and wishes come true. In any way that they can.
Need a travel buddy to go Easter Island? Wish.
Know how to throw the best hen parties? Say you can.
Had a wish answered? Thank.
I can assume what most people’s first thought will be. Why should I take any efforts to make a random stranger’s wishes come true?
Well, lets hope such people will not sign up.
Running first as a closed beta, it is now open to everyone to put forward their wishes, and the things they can do to make others’ come true. The website is still being developed hence they’re promoting the iOS app which you can download here.
I think it’s a slightly nuts, but a fantastic idea – nevertheless.
I wish more people would believe in giving. I cannot imagine an experience more fulfilling.
This is how it looks. Not very fancy yet, but it’s the idea that counts. |
Like they say. Impossible is nothing.
