To quote our CEO, videos are the future.
The visual content grabs attention like no other and has the advantage of imagery as well as music – making the whole package difficult to miss and remain etched in memories of its target audiences.
This is a collection of five advertisements which have left me enthralled, and I couldn’t help but add them to my You Tube favourites.
“Thank You, Mom”
Procter & Gamble Canada, launched their nationwide P&G Thank You Mom campaign yesterday, in celebration of 100 days to go until the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. The campaign recognises and celebrates mothers behind athletes by thanking them for all that they do. This video went viral yesterday and has been moistening eyes ever since.
The hardest job in the world, is the best job in the world. Thank you, Mom.
“It Loves You Back”
Every time I see the Honda Brio zip past on the roads, I smile. I get reminded of the strumming guitars and this brilliant advertisement.
“We Are All In”
Marking the beginning of the otherwise bland Indian Premier League, Adidas has launched its campaign for the tournament. Titled, ‘We Are All Owners’, the campaign celebrates India’s passion for cricket and salutes the role that fans play in making cricket the phenomenon that it is in India. I guess sports make for the most inspirational videos, constituting the blood, sweat and passion. This is a new angle on fandom. Excellent copy as well, by TBWA.
The solitary agony & the collective ecstasy.
The unflagging passion.
The prayers in the stands & the belief in the hearts.
The pre-match jitters & post-match revelry.
The trials of expectation. The high of conquest.
Who owns these?
We do.
Don’t call us fans. We are all owners. And we are all in.
“Here For Good”
Another one by TBWA for Standard Chartered, but this time, the issue is much more serious. It is rather difficult to get banks to be on the same level as people. The copy is very effective and honest. I love it.
Select excepts:
Indeed, not everything in life that counts, can be counted.
Can a bank stand beside people, not above them.
By doing good, can a bank be great.
In the many places we call home, our purpose remains the same, to be:
Here for people..
Here for progress…
Here for the long run….
Here for good.
“Reasons To Believe”
The father of awesome advertisements and mind blowing campaigns, this Coke ad is not exactly recent, but it is brilliant. The Indian version, I am not very partial to – but it has been quite a hit. The message that negativity breeds problems and there are so many things on this good earth to be thankful for, connects with most.
Goosebump stirring, aren’t they?
