Today is about a bit of counsel for those who follow this blog. Being preachy is not really my style, but sometimes I do get in the mood and surprise myself.
I’m going to write about something I feel deeply about, and have mentioned to a lot of people who I felt would get help and/or relief from it.
Commonly known as the ‘think before you speak/act‘, and taking it a step forward – I urge my friends, family and acquaintance to think about the belief that what goes around, comes around. From times of old, we Indians have believed in ‘Karma’ – the cycle of cause and effect.
So – whether you’re treating a fellow human being badly because he/she belongs to a lower strata of society than yourself, or adopting a puppy and then abandoning him because he turns out to be more work and less fun. Whether you take pride in ‘not giving a damn’ and causing people hurt with your words and actions or you happen to get away with things which people take blame for.
Yes, bad things happen to good people. And the worst ones always live. But wait till the end of the story to verify what I’m telling you.
All I want to say is – don’t do or say anything that you wouldn’t want done or said to you. Even if there is no cosmic balance sheet – just remember – in this lifetime, someone is keeping count.
