When I initially read this, I thought that there really wouldn’t be much to put down -I don’t experience discomfort often – but when I sat down to write, numerous important things came to mind.
So what is it, that makes me uncomfortable?
# Being stared at. I’ve often got into verbal brawls over the subject.
# Avoidable intimacy. I have always been a people’s person – and I tend to share almost everything with people I hold close. But I am undeniably uncomfortable when someone you don’t know enough of, tells you things which you could really do without knowing.
# BO. Period.
# Disrespect. You know those people who are always rude to servers and other service staff? Sitting across them at restaurants and other places is always an extremely uncomfortable experience.
# Touchy strangers/acquaintances. If I don’t know you, kindly keep your distance.
# Being fussed over. Except for my mother – it makes me really awkward when anyone else takes too much trouble for me. Not that I don’t appreciate the gesture – again, not that it happens very often 🙂
I’m sure I can come up with lots more – guess I’ll keep adding to the list!
Ha. You're no stranger, stranger 🙂
