The first thing that came to my mind when I read today’s topic was the delightful number from my all time favourite film ‘The Sound of Music’.
While bright copper kettles and girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes will not make my list of ten things that make me really happy, the following have an almost magical effect, bringing an immediate smile to my face.
There are many more then ten – but these are the first which came to my mind:

| Cupcakes. Instant cheer-up-ers |

| Ma & Baba. They are not things, but they make me the happiest. |

| Doing laundry. Especially if it was in a room like this one… |

| Music. My panacea. |

| The ocean. It has the power to take everything negative away. |
 |
| Polaroids. Loved the old one we had. |
 |
| Kolkata street food. The puchka. ❤ |
 |
| Rain. This one had to make the list. |
 |
| Figure skating. This in Kum Yu-na. So liberating to even watch. |
 |
| Winter clothes. Especially the trench coat with a flare. |
