Yesterday was packed with a little more shopping, food and a set back by means of my laptop refusing to start up, and making revolting beeps at regular intervals. I am worried.
However, to gether the happy bits, Ma and myself were dropped to Qurum (the shopping hub of the city) around the afternoon, by our kind neighbours; We began at Al Araimi Plaza, and walked through the entire area to get to the Pizza Hut place, where our pick up was scheduled. By the evening, I was loaded with bags in either hand, and some of the stuff I bought were:
# Two pairs of shoes
# Another purple pair of Gisele Bundchens (for the monsoons, of course!)
# A Giordano, black leather strapped, slim watch. This however, was the post graduation gift I was being given. And many thanks to Richa and Ridhima, who helped me choose, as I was torn between a brown strap-oval dial, and this black one
# Two shorts from Giordano – a khaki and an ash coloured one; I have decided that these would be my travel clothes for any further non-winter trips that I take!
# Two pairs of jeans; very important purchases, and I am most satisfied =D
Then, Ma suggested we should have dinner at Papa John’s, my favourtie pizza joint, and there we sat with our ‘Little Italy’ and ‘Pasta Alfredo’, and I realised that it is the coolest think to have one’s mother as their best friend, and that I have been most definitely blessed!
For today, LuLu Centre beckons – it is an uber cool hypermarket, and it’s format never changes, so even after two years, I know where exactly to find the cola candy =D
PS: Not to forget to mention, that the Kolkata Knight Riders, happened to win a match against the Mumbai Indians, yesterday. Although, I was more absorbed in watching Armageddon (yet again), I was sneaking peeks, and was overjoyed at them having won a match! Plus there was Shah Rukh =D =D =D What a nice day!
